KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said more Malaysians can help sustain the nation’s economic growth by supporting and buying locally made products.
He said by buying products made in Malaysia, it will reduce the flow of money overseas and at the same time boost the development of local industries.
“Most countries in the world are suffering from the effects of falling oil prices and depreciation of the currency.
“Malaysia is no exception in this regard and the government has already taken steps to reduce the impact on the national economy,” he said via his radio broadcast in his blog www.najibrazak.com here today.
Najib said as a country that is actively developing towards economic progress, the nation’s expertise in manufacturing technology is increasing.
He added that many products produced in Malaysia today not only have comparable quality but even better than the imported products from abroad.
