PEKAN: Strong support and contributions from the local community will determine the success of the education sector, said Prime Minsiter Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Therefore, he urged parents to give their full support to the schools where their children are studying, including joining the activities organised by the Parents and Teachers Association and the schools.
"The priceless input from parents and the local community will help the schools achieve higher success in education and co-curricular aspects," he said at the presentation of awards to excellent UPSR candidates in his Pekan parliamentary constituency, here today.
Najib also said that the education sector needed a collective, comprehensive and national efforts to improve it further.
He later presented the awards to 271 students who scored 5A's in their UPSR examination last year.
