MERSING: A soldier from the Mahkota Camp in Kluang is feared drowned after the boat he was in capsized in a river at Kampung Orang Asli, Tanah Abang here in Mersing.
The soldier was with his colleague, both 41-years-old, who was rescued.
In the 11am incident, after the boat capsized, one of the soldiers stay afloat on a barrel while the other attempted to swim ashore but swept away by strong current.
Search and rescue operation will continue today.
