Missing fisherman found drown

IPOH: Search and Rescue personnel found the bodies of two fishermen who went missing when their fishing vessel capsized on Wednesday evening near the Kuala Gula lighthouse.

The bodies of the two victims are identified as Muhammad Farid Hussin, 35, who hails from Kuala Gula and Patahhul Karim, 27, an Indonesian citizen were found this morning by rescuers.

Both the victims were found tangled in a fish cage about three kilometers from the area they were reported missing.

Six fishermen had left on their fishing trip about 7.30pm, when their boats sank two nautical miles from shore.

A total of three fishing boats sank after being caught in bad weather that damaged their vessels.

Four of the fishermen were rescued by another fisherman during the incident.
