MH370: Plane could be located in 3 months, says ATSB commissioner

KUALA LUMPUR: Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) Commissioner Martin Dolan is confident Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 will be located by the end of May.

In an interview with Australian news portal, news.com.au, Dolan said by then, the entire 60,000sq km search area in the southern Indian Ocean is expected to be fully explored.

“As we keep on pointing out, we don’t have a certainty, only a confidence that we’ll find the missing aircraft.”

Dolan said that drift modelling experts were in the process of re-examining the absence of debris from the ill-fated flight.

He added due to the delayed start in the search area, any debris could have sunk or drifted away from the search area.
