KUALA LUMPUR: Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC) has opened Malaysia's first restaurant in Jeddah.
Located in Tahlia Street, one of the city’s most exclusive commercial hubs, the 112-seat restaurant is run by Felda D’Saji Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Koperasi Permodalan Felda Malaysia Bhd.
“It (the restaurant) is a good opportunity for both Malaysia and Saudi Arabia to strengthen relations through enhanced intercultural engagements," Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad said at the launch of the restaurant in Jeddah today.
Present were Malaysian Consul General in Saudi Arabia Khalid Abbasi and FIC chief executive officer Mohd Zaid Abdul Jalil.
The restaurant is a great addition to Jeddah’s diversified food scene as FIC and D’Saji are not only aiming to woo Malaysian and Asian customers, but are also leveraging on Jeddah’s location as the gateway to Saudi Arabia.
FIC, a unit under Federal Land Development Authority (Felda), undertakes non-plantation business activities and at present it is involved in property development, hospitality and strategic investments activities. -BERNAMA
