KUALA BERANG: The body of a 48-year-old Wan Aziman Wan Ali, who went missing after his boat capsized in Jenagor river here on Monday was found today.
State Fire and Rescue Department public relation officer Rozizah Abnihajar said the victim was found floating by a villager about 300 metres away from the spot he was last seen at 11.10am.
Rozizah said the body was sent to the Hulu Terengganu hospital for post mortem.
She said six rescue boats were deployed to the scene with 22 rescuers for the search and rescue operation.
"We sent 13 scuba divers to search the victim," she said.
In the 9.45am incident, the victim from Simpang Tokku, Kuala Terengganu, was travelling in the boat and heading to the Madrasah Khairul Insan at Jenagor.
