IPOH: DAP's Canning assemblyman Wong Kah Woh was ejected from the state assembly here this morning.
The decision was made by state assembly speaker Datuk Seri S.K. Devamany after Wong refused to cooperate by sitting down when asked to do so.
Wong had interrupted when Salbiah Mohamed (Temenggor) was holding the floor.
"Since yesterday, I had repeated myself between 20 and 30 times for Canning to sit down.
"Today, I have given him repeated warnings but he did not abide.
"As such, I used the power vested in me, under the august house's Standing Order to eject him from today's sitting. He will also be referred to the Rights and Privileges Committee," he said.
He then ordered the sergeant-at-arms to escort Wong out.
