SIBU: Eleven people injured when a grocery shop located on the ground floor of a four-storey flat exploded in Jalan Sibu here early this morning.
It was learnt that one of the people injured in the 2.48am explosion sustained burnt injuries.
The impact of the explosion also destroyed the walls and the ceilings of three other units located near the grocery shop.
State Fire and Rescue Department operation assistant director Farhan Sufyan Borhan said his men were still investigating the cause of the explosion.
He also said that 40 other people staying at the flat did not suffer any injuries.
"All residents injured have been sent to the Sibu Hospital for treatment."
