MAS flights to Kathmandu delayed and rerouted

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines flights to and from Kathmandu will be delayed and rerouted.

In a statement the national carrier said that following the earthquake which hit Kathmandu Malaysia Airlines' flights into and out of Tribhuvan International Airport will be delayed and rerouted.

“Flight MH170 scheduled to depart Kuala Lumpur at 8:55am was retimed to 5:55pm and is expected to arrive in Kathmandu at 8.30pm the same day.

“Flight MH171 scheduled to depart Kathmandu at 12.20pm was now retimed to 9.20pm and will transit in Dhaka for 2 1/2 hours. The flight will depart Dhaka at 1.30am on 27 April 2015 and is expected to arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 7.20am the same day,” it said.

It said that for operational reasons, all Malaysia Airlines' flights into and out of Kathmandu in the next three days will be operated via Dhaka.

Passengers are advised to refer to Malaysia Airlines' website for the latest update, it added.
