ROMPIN: The government will allocate RM500million to repair science labs in some 3,000 secondary schools nationwide to help enhance the effectiveness of science lessons.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said refurbishment works will be carried out in stages starting this year and it would take about two years to complete.
He described the move as part of the government's efforts to enhance laboratory based practical training at schools and attract students participation in the lab at schools.
