Tabung Haji land deal leak to be investigated under OSA: IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: The leaking of the documents regarding the dealings between Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) and 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) would be investigated under the Official Secrets Act (OSA), said Inspector-General of Police.

"The case will be investigated under the OSA," Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said briefly when asked on the matter at a press conference in Federal police headquarters in Bukit Aman here.

He added police have jurisdiction to investigate the matter.

Yesterday, LTH chief executive Datuk Johan Abdullah lodged a police report on the matter at Dang Wangi police station.

The move was made following a blog published copies of the agreement to the purported sale of two plots of 1MDB land at the Tun Razak exchange to LTH, one for 194 million at RM2,860 per sqft and the other for 578 million at RM3,900 per sqft.
