HAGATNA, (Guam): A man has been arrested a day after being released from jail for allegedly attacking the same woman he was convicted of victimizing.
The Pacific Daily News reports Anthony Santos was released from prison Wednesday after serving an eight-month term and was arrested Thursday.
Officer A.J. Balajadia says Santos arrived at a Dededo home where an argument broke out between Santos and the victim. Santos allegedly threw the woman onto the floor and kicked her face and body several times.
Balajadia says the woman has been taken to Guam Memorial Hospital with severe injuries.
Balajadia says the victim’s 7-year-old son and two young nephews had been in the house at the time of the alleged assault.
Santos has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, terrorizing, and family violence. -AP
