3 teen remanded for assaulting a schoolboy

KLANG: Three teenagers have been remanded until June 5 for assaulting a schoolboy who refused to join the 360 Pandamaran secret society gang.

The Klang Selatan district police Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism (D7) unit arrested the trio, aged between 17 and 15, from three different houses in Bukit Tinggi, Pandamaran and Bayu Perdana respectively late Saturday night.

Klang Selatan police chief ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said two of the suspects were expelled from their school in Pandamaran on May 28 while the other is in Form 3.

" All three suspects had admitted to beating up the victim and owned up for being gang members. Their motive for the assault was because the victim had wanted to leave the gang which is headed by another man.

" We are on the hunt for other suspects who are recruiting students to be part of the gang. We are taking action under Prevention of

Crime Act 1952, Societies Act and existing laws," said Kamarul Zaman.

On May 29 at about 1.30pm, the 14-year-old victim was in front of his school when he was asked to accompany a friend to a nearby hypermarket.

Upon arrival, the friend had brought him into the toilet where he was beaten up and kicked by a few others aged between 15 and 20.

" The victim suffered injuries in his mouth, swelling on his upper lip and pain all over his body," said Kamarul Zaman.
