Gold futures opens higher

KUALA LUMPUR: The gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened higher today with two contract months traded.

At 9.30am, June added nine ticks to RM141.55 a gramme while July 2015 was four ticks better at RM141.70.

Open interest stood at 2,111 contracts.

At 9.30am, physical gold traded at RM136.82 a gramme, up 88 sen, from RM135.94 a gramme at 5pm on Monday.--BERNAMA
