KUALA LUMPUR: An Indian national was killed after an altercation with a Pakistani at Jalan Bukit Bintang, here.
City police Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad said police were informed about the fight at about 12.10am.
“Once police arrived at the location, the victim, identified as Surjeet Singh who worked as a barber, had succumbed to his injuries,” he said.
A witness informed the police that the suspect had ran towards a nearby hotel.
Zainuddin said police later arrested a 29-year-old Pakistani to assist investigation.
Checks, he said, revealed the suspect was a worker at the hotel.
