KUALA TERENGGANU: The circling of a Malaysia Airlines twin-engine jetliner at a low level above the city raised many an eye-brow today.
Passers-by and the business community rarely see an airliner doing so over the east coast city’s skyline.
The incident which occurred at about 9.15am had no cause for worry as MAS was believed to have been carrying out a routine training session with its crew to familiarise them with airport flight procedures.
A Sultan Mahmud International Airport spokesman said that MAS could also be testing the flight navigation aids and on board aircraft systems, similar to how the Department of Civil Aviation carries out calibration of navigational equipment.
