KUALA LUMPUR: Strong southwesterly winds and rough seas in waters off Phuket, Condore, Reef North and Palawan are expected to persist until Tuesday (June 23).
The Meteorological Department, in a statement today, said strong winds of between 40 and 50 kilometre per hour with waves as high as 3.5 metres in the affected areas are dangerous to small boats, as well as recreational activities and sea sports.
The department also issued a warning of thunderstorm in waters off Sulu, Kelantan and Terengganu until this morning.
