KL LIONS GET TOGETHER

KUALA LUMPUR: An appreciation dinner hosted by a community service organisation's outgoing president also turned into a celebratory occasion for one of the members.

Cheah Ee Keong, the president of the Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur (Host) who is completing his term at the end of June, organised the do as a gesture of gratitude to his members for their support and guidance.

He also brought a cake to celebrate the conferment of the Panglima Setia Mahkota award, which carried the title Tan Sri, on club member, Datuk Danny Ooi, in conjunction with the King's official birthday celebration on June 7.

In addition, Cheah also presented mementos of appreciation to the club members.

Cheah will embark on a new role as zone chairman in the Lions Clubs International District 308 B1 when the 2014/2015 fiscal term begins this month.
