Thunderstorm wreak havoc at Batu Buruk recreational area, vehicles damaged

KUALA TERENGGANU: Thunderstorm wreaked havoc at the Batu Buruk recreational areas an hour before the breaking of fast today, uprooting several trees and damaging several vehicles.

However, no one was injured during the storm which started about 6.15pm with heavy rain and strong winds blowing from the sea.

Several trees were also uprooted at Cerung Lanjut here.

The storm lasted about an hour when most Muslims were near the vicinity to buy food for the breaking of fast.

The Kuala Terengganu City Council has mobilised its manpower to clear the fallen trees to restore traffic movement.
