KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau today took his oath of office as the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation before Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah at Istana Negara here.
The swearing-in took place at the Bilik Singgahsana Kecil (Small Throne Room) of the palace at noon.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and several other Cabinet ministers were present at the function.
Nogeh anak Gumbek also took his oath of office as a deputy minister. Nogeh said he was expected to be informed of his portfolio tomorrow.
Madius and Nogeh signed the instrument of oath and secrecy before Chief Justice Tun Arifin Zakaria and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa.--BERNAMA
