KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife will seek to strike out parts of the defence of PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli and another against the couple's libel suit.
The couple's counsel Choo Shi Jin said they would be filing the application against Rafizi and Mediarakyat.net portal owner Chan Chee Kong before Aug 21.
Choo was speaking after case management of the suit in High Court judge Datuk Noraini Abdul Rahman's chambers today. He added that the court set Aug 21 for mention of the suit.
On April 16, Barisan Nasional(BN) president Najib and Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor filed the suit over oil subsidy-linked allegations.
Rafizi was alleged to have uttered slanderous remarks during a forum at Bandar Tun Razak on Nov 22, last year.
