Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin remains consistent despite injury

CZECH REPUBLIC: Despite crashing out of the race in Indianapolis last week, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah remains the most consistent Malaysian in the sport as he notched a respectable 14th in Moto2 free practice at the Czech Republic Motorcycle Grand Prix late yesterday.

The Petronas Raceline rider, who is still nursing light bruises on his right hand sustained during the crash, managed a best lap of two minutes and 3.877 seconds during the second practice session at the Brno circuit.

Idemitsu Honda Team Asia's Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman, who achieved a career best 11th in the United States last week, was off the pace as he clocked 2:05.153s for 25th.

Zulfahmi Khairuddin (DRIVE M7-SIC Racing) fared no better in Moto3, notching 2:10.337s for 26th as he struggled to find his rhythm.
