KUALA LUMPUR: The revenue from the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be published in the Budget 2016.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak wrote this on his Facebook page (www.facebook.com/najibrazak) today, and he said it would show how the proceeds were spent for the people.
"I adhere to the principle of from our people, we will return to the people (daripada rakyat kita akan kembalikan kepada rakyat)," he said.
Najib stated that it was his promise to list the revenue earned and spent from the implementation of the consumption tax in April this year.
The Budget 2016 is slated to be tabled in the Parliament by the prime minister on Oct 23.
GST was implemented on April 1.
