SEREMBAN: The people of Negri Sembilan woke up to a hazy morning as thick grey clouds blanketed the sky with air pollutant index (API) readings recorded at moderate levels at three monitoring stations in the states.
As at 3pm, Seremban API was at 78, Port Dickson (72) and Nilai (79).
State Environment Department director Ruslan Mohamad when contacted said a special team force was set up and has been instructed to monitor open burning activities to prevent the situation from deteriorating.
The air pollution level is categorised as good from zero to 50, moderate (51-100), unhealthy (101-200), very unhealthy (201-300) and hazardous (301 and more).
