TAPAH: A 36-year-old man has been found dead with slash wounds to his neck in a scrap metal dealer's shop at Kawasan Perindustrian Bidor here today.
District police chief Superintendent Somsak Din Keliaw said the remains of M. Nganasekar were discovered at 8.20am by his colleagues who reported for duty.
"The victim only started working at the shop 10 days ago," he said when contacted here today.
Police, added Somsak, had detained a 30-year-old man to assist in investigation.
"We are still trying to establish the motive for the murder," he said.
The victim's remains had been sent to Hospital Tapah mortuary for post mortem.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
