Childhood friends found dead in a car

SHAH ALAM: Two childhood friends were found dead in a car parked infront of a busy restaurant in Section 19 last night (Sun).

The duo were thought to have been sleeping in a Proton Saga but a passer-by suspected something amiss and alerted the police as the vehicle was believed to have been parked there for more than 15-hours.

Shah Alam police chief ACP Shafien Mamat said his men found 25-year-olds, K. Mathiannan and Y.Rao Changkaraanathrao, lifeless.

Early investigations revealed the duo had been in the car with its engine running.

" We found the ignition switched ln and the engine had died as petrol was totally drained. There were no injury on the bodies and no foul play," he said.

An eye-witness, said Shafien, had noticed the two in the car at 7am on Sun.

" One of the victim's father also spotted them in the car at 3pm the same day. But he left after he did not notice anything suspicious," said Shafien.

It is still unknown how long the two had been in the car prior to the discovery.

Both had no criminal records.

The case had been classified as sudden death, said Shafien, and the bodies were sent to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang for post mortem.

Shafien asked those those with information to come forward.
