KUCHING: For the past three years, a 16-year-old teenager has been suppressing her fear and agony of being repeatedly molested by her father at their house in Bandar Baru Semariang near here.
The school drop-out was forced to keep her misery to herself after she was threatened by her father from exposing his wrongdoings to her mother.
The only person in the house who knows about her bereavement was her younger sister, 14, who is sleeping in the same bedroom with her, where the incident would usually take place.
The victim, however, could no longer contain such sexual torture when the same incident took place early Monday.
“She relived her nightmare again when her father entered the bedroom 2.30am. Her father had put his hand into the victim’s clothes and started fondling her breasts.
“He later pulled down the victim’s pyjama pants and started molesting her,” sources said.
The victim related the matter to her mother, who in turn, lodged a police report on the same day.
Acting on the police report, police picked up the suspect, 45, who worked as a security guard, at their house at about 5pm.
The victim has been sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for medical examination. Police had also recorded statements from the victim, her younger sister and her mother.
The case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for assault with intent to outrage the modesty of a woman, which a maximum jail sentence of 10 years or a fine or caning.
