Ooi Tze Liang qualified for Olympics

OOI Tze Liang is Malaysia's third diver to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro after Pandelela Rinong and Wendy Ng Yan Yee.

Tze Liang, showed great form and consistency today to come out tops in the men's 3 Metre springboard final at the sixth Asian Diving Cup in Bukit Jalil.

Tze Liang, recorded 484.45 points after six dives at the National Aquatic Centre to finish ahead of teammate Ahmad Amsyar Azman (469.65) and China's Peng Jiang Feng (388.10).

Meanwhile in the men's 10m synchro final, Woo Haram-Kim Yeongnam of South Korea finished first on 432.48 points followed by China's Cao Lizhi-Huang Zigan (403.05) and Indonesia's Andriyan Andriyan-Adityo Restu Putra (327.24).

China's Qu Lin won the women's 1m springboard final on 271.10 points, followed by South Korea's Kim Nami (249.15) and China's Liu Tian (247.60).

China also claimed top prize in the women's 10m platform snychro final through Suo Miya-Ji Siyu who recorded 318.00. South Korea's Cho Eunbi-Kim Suji (268.62) came in second, while Leong Sut Chan-Leong Sut In (200.73) of Macau settled for third.

In the mixed 3m synchro final, China's Liu Tian-Huang Bo Wen won first place on 295.50 points. Malaysia's Muhammad Syafiq-Wendy (279.75) came in second followed by South Korea's Son Tae Lang-Kim Nami.
