KUALA TERENGGANU: SOLICITOR-GENERAL Tan Sri Idris Harun headed a list of 76 people who received awards in conjunction with the 52nd birthday of Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin yesterday.
During the investiture at the sultan’s palace, Idris was conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (SPMT), which carries the title “Datuk”. Other SPMT recipients include Tenaga Nasional Berhad chief executive officer Datuk Seri Azman Mohd and former inspector-general of police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.
Terengganu Youth and Sports and Human Resources Committee chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat was awarded the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (DPMT), which also carries the title Datuk.
Another 13 DPMT recipients include State Legislative Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Zubir Embong and deputy state secretary (Development) Datuk Wan Nawawi Wan Ismail. Seven people were conferred the Darjah Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (SMZ), 13 received the Darjah Setia Mahkota Terengganu (SMT), two were bestowed the Darjah Ahli Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (AMZ) and 37 were awarded the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Terengganu (AMT).
