KUALA LUMPUR: Part of the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) from Hulu Kelang to the Jalan Kuching intersection will be closed from 11 pm tomorrow (Oct 3) until 11 am the following day in conjunction with the 2015 Standard Chartered Kuala Lumpur Marathon (SCKLM 2015).
DUKE’s concessionaire, Konsortium Lebuhraya Utara Timur (KL) Sdn Bhd (KESTURI), in a statement today, said the closure would affect several exits at along the expressway.
They include the exit at Persimpangan Hillview from Hulu Kelang to Ampang, Persimpangan Hillview from Ampang, roundabout at Jalan 37/56 Taman AU2 Keramat, Jalan Jelatek, Wangsa Maju, Jalan Semarak (PULAPOL & MINDEF) and at Jalan Ayer Jerneh, Setapak.
It will also affect the exit from Jalan Pahang on both directions to the Sentul Pasar Toll Plaza and Batu Toll Plaza, exit from Sentul near the Ong Tai Kim Plaza and Bandar Dalam traffic light intersection.
Motorists are advised to use alternative roads and to abide by all safety measures and directives during the period.
The affected stretch of the DUKE Expressway will be opened to traffic in stages after obtaining approval from the Kuala Lumpur Traffic police, it said.
