SUNGAI BULOH: Eleven factory employees cheated death when fire razed the factory at Kundang Industrial Area here today.
State Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director Mohd Sani Harul said the fire burnt at least 70 per cent of the factory, while the employees were carrying out their daily tasks.
“All 11 of the victims were taken to Sungai Buloh hospital for treatment just before the firemen arrived,” he said, adding the condition of the victims has yet to be ascertained.
Sani said the department received a distress call at 3.45pm and 23 firemen from Batu Arang, Rawang and Sungai Buloh fire stations were deployed to the scene.
"The firemen arrived at the location at 3.57pm and were still in the midst of putting out the fire," he said.
