Alive! Two Orang Asli kids found after a month (Video)

GUA MUSANG: The authorities have confirmed that the remains found today is that of nine-year-old Ika Ayel, one of the seven Orang Asli children missing from Pos Tohoi since Aug 23.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Mazlan Lazim said the remains were positively identified by the girl’s mother Nora Tegeu at the Gua Musang hospital mortuary.

He said the body would be handed over to the family soon.

This brings the total number of deceased to three, after the discoveries of eight-year old Sasa Sobrie on Wednesday, and another body yesterday.

Two girls, Norieen Yaakob, 10, and Mirsudir Aluj, 11, were found alive at noon today, around 3.3km away from Pos Tohoi where they had gone missing 48 days ago.

Mazlan said police would continue with the search and rescue to look for two more children.

Earlier, it was reported that the two Orang Asli children who had gone missing in the jungles of Pos Tohoi here for more than a month, were found alive.

Police sources say the two have been identified as as Noreen Yaakob, 10, and 11-year-old Mirsudiar Aluj.

It was learnt that the two were both in extremely weak condition.

The body is believed to have been found near Sungai Perias, where the remains of two other missing children were found over the last two days.
