KUALA LUMPUR: Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah said the government is confident that the economy will grow between 4 and 5 per cent in 2016.
"It is based on our conservative assumptions," he told a media briefing after launching the two-day National Economic Outlook.
The economy is on track to achieve the targeted 4.5-5.5 per cent in 2015.
The Malaysian Institute of Economic Research has projected the economy to grow between 4.5-5.0 per cent in 2016.
