KOTA KINABALU: A lot of people appreciate the many forms of assistance given to them by the government, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said.
"I have seen their reaction, for instance, when we distributed government assistance such as BR1M (1Malaysia People's Aid), they are really grateful and you can see it in their faces.
"The government provide many form of assistance to the people and though there are those who do not realize this but many benefit from it," he said in his winding up speech for the Finance Ministry during the state assembly sitting.
Musa who is also Finance Minister said the assistance so provided by the government however involves money and in Sabah much of this is provided with Federal funds including pose collected from the Goods and Services Tax.
He said this in response to a supplementary question by Dr Roland Chia who suggested Sabah to pursue the Federal government for more funds from the GST collected to date.
