IPOH: The number of flood evacuees in Perak has dropped to 336 as of 6pm today, with all of them seeking shelter at three relief centres in Kerian district.
State Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Yahaya Madis said the relief centres in Hilir Perak were already closed as of 4pm after all the flood victims had returned home.
In Kerian district, he said Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bukit Merah housed the highest number of victims at 170, followed by SK Changkat Lobak (139) and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Simpang 5 (27).
The victims are from Kampung Matang Tengah, Parit Air Hitam, Kg Batu 38, Kg Batu 40, Parit Abu Hasan Ban, Kg Beriah, Parit Ali Kalang, Parit Lebai Kadir, Parit Mat Keling, Parit Air Hitam 2, Parit Simpang 5, Parit Simpang 4, Ladang Eow Seng and Kampung Tersusun Tali Air.
