ROME: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi arrived here today for a three-day working visit.
He arrived at about 4.30pm (11.30pm in Malaysia) at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Hamidah Khamis.
Zahid, who is home minister arrived in the Italian capital from Malta after leading the Malaysian delegation to the 24th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
Among his itinerary in Rome is a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Italian Interior Minister Angelina Alfano which is expected to be held on Tuesday.
He will also meet with the Malaysian community in a dinner event.
