KANGAR: The versatile actor and comedian Yussry Edoo, 39, or fondly known as Yus Jambu has been laid to rest at Nesam Muslim Cemetery in Bintong here at 2pm today.
The funeral attended by thousands of Yus' relatives, friends and fans from far and near, ended at 3pm.
Among the celebrities present to pay their last respects to the deceased were comedians Angah Raja Lawak, Achey, singer Akim Ahmad and actor Hairi Safwan.
Also present were state legislative assembly Speaker Hamdan Bahari and state executive councillor Rela Ahmad.
It is learnt that Yus, also known as Pak Yus, fell unconscious after performing at Raja Band programme with his band — Lima Bara at Dataran Merdeka last night.
He was immediately rushed to Selayang Hospital by his band mates.
Yus however passed away, believed to be from a heart attack, while on the way the hospital about 12.30am.
His remains were brought back to his hometown in Kampung Nesam, Bintong early this morning and arrived at the Nurul Iman Mosque here at 12pm.
