BUTTERWORTH : Building works are set to cause traffic disruption in Butterworth.
From Dec 1 (tomorrow) to Jan 31 next year, several roads heading towards the Penang central be closed to vehicles.
Seberang Perai Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Azmi Adam said the closure will see three out of six roads in Jalan Metcher heading towards terminal ferry (Penang Sentral) is closed for its building works.
"The closure has been organised to allow Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (commonly referred to as MRCB) to construct a new development at the transportation hub.
"Motorists are advised to take diversion at respective roads and adhere to traffic rules to ensure smooth process throughout the two months," he told reporters today.
