CAP wants Penang to ban vape

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government has been urged to ban vape trade in the state.

Consumer Association of Penang president S.M Mohamed Idris said all state government's take the initiative and ban trade of vape in an effort to put an end to the vaping.

"Vaping is an unhealthy habit and it is worrying as children as young as eight are taking up the habit," he told reporters at a press conference here today.

Mohamed said the association has received numerous complaints from schools around the state, who had caught their pupils and student using vape.

"Some of those schools passed us the vape they confiscated," he said.

It was reported that the all sale of vape products including equipment and liquids in Johor has been officially banned beginning next year.

The decision was made during the state executive councillors' meeting at Bangunan Dato Jaafar Muhammad in Kota Iskandar following a decree by Sultan of Johor.
