KUALA LANGAT: A five-month pregnant woman and her husband were hauled to the Telok Datok Magistrate's court to face two charges of distributing about 11,000 gm of cannabis.
The couple, Muhammad Lukman Mohamad and Nadiah Rahmat, both aged 26 and from Kelantan and Terengganu, respectively, were charged under Section 39B(1) (a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
They were accused of committing the offences at a house in Bandar Mahkota, here, on Dec 7.
In the first charge, the duo were accused of distributing 264 gm of cannabis while the second charge was for distributing 10,786 gm of cannabis at 6.45pm on the same day and location.
They both nodded when the charges were read to them before magistrate Marsilawati Mohamad Shah.
The couple's lead counsel Farhan Maaruf asked for a re-mention date pending a chemist report.
Marsilawati fixed Jan 29 for re-mention.
