BAHAU: Three friends were charged with murder at the Magistrate’s Court here today, of a man at an oil palm estate, near here, last month.
However, no pleas were recorded from accused S.Gunasegaran, 51; R.S.Arivanthan, 34 and P.Maruthan, 29, when the interpreter read out the charge against them before Magistrate Zuhair Rosli.
The trio were accused of murdering K.Vasu, 37, in Ladang Geddes, near here, between 8pm and 11pm on Dec 19 with another two companions, who are still at large.
The accused were charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code that carries a death penalty.
Deputy public prosecutor Mohd Azriff Mohamad Ali prosecuted while the accused were unrepresented.
The court then set Feb 13 for mention.
