THE media often publishes letters highlighting services provided by the public and private sectors.

By pointing out the tardiness of service providers, the media has helped to bring about improvements. Service providers must ensure there is no let-up in their efforts and the public should not always find fault with them.

Consumers must appreciate their work and thank them. If the service providers are not performing as expected, tell them politely.

I would like to thank the Tenaga Nasional Bhd team that promptly attended to complaints about faulty streetlights in my area last week.
