Magnitude 6.3 quake hits Chile's coast - USGS

SANTIAGO: A strong magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck on Chile's coast north of Santiago, the US Geological Survey reported Tuesday, though there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake struck at 7:33 pm (0033 GMT Wednesday) 326 kilometers (203 miles) north-northwest of Santiago, the USGS said. It had a depth of 31.5 kilometers. -- AFP
