IPOH: A couple and their son were arrested after police found more than four kilogrammes of drugs worth RM228,000 in their home at Taman Gopeng Baru, Gopeng near here on Friday.
Police raided their home after receiving a public tip-off.
State Criminal Investigation Department Anti-narcotics chief Assistant Commissioner V. R. Ravi Chandran said police arrested the 58-year-old main suspect after they found drugs, believed to be heroin, weighing 4,526.48g in his car.
He said the raiding team later found three clear packs containing the same substance weighing 50.7g in his house.
"We also arrested his wife, 54, and son, 20, to assist in our investigations," he told a press conference here today.
He said the main suspect also tested positive for methamphetamine and had a criminal record.
Police believed that he had supplied drugs in Gopeng, Kampar and Ipoh.
