BUTTERWORTH: A man jumped off a ferry enroute to Penang Island from Butterworth today.
The incident took place at about 5.49pm.
A Fire and Rescue department spokesperson said a team of five firemen in one fire truck from the Butterworth fire station was despatched to the scene.
"Upon arriving at the scene the team was informed that the victim, identified as Lim Bee Koon, had been rescued by the Penang Port boat pilot.
"He had no visible injuries and was handed over to the nearest hospital for further treatment," he said.
