THE Embassy of Qatar in Kuala Lumpur recently celebrated its National Sports Day in the presence of more than 300 guests consisting of diplomats and embassy members.
The event, held at the Kuala Lumpur Sports Centre was graced by the ambassador of the State of Qatar to Malaysia Essa Mohamed Al-Mannai, Mansoor Al-Hajri, the embassy's second secretary and Mubarak Al-Kuabaisi.
Among the sports featured were futsal and badminton.
Esa Mohamed Al-Mannai in his speech, emphasised on the importance of celebrating the National Sports Day to make sport a way of life.
He also stressed that Qatar attaches great importance to sports as a means of communication among people, and that the National Sports Day enhances Qatar's National Vision 2030.
Also present at the event were Undersecretary of West Asia Datuk Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak, as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sports Ministry representatives.
