KUALA LUMPUR: Popular singer Ahmad Azahar Othman, better known as Awie, today claimed trial at the Magistrate's Court here to causing hurt to his ex-wife Rozana Misbun.
Awie, 46, is alleged to have committed the offence at the PNB counter, Jalan Tun Razak in Kuala Lumpur at 3pm on June 2, 2014.
Awie is best known as the vocalist for legendary local rock band Wings. Rozana, meanwhile, is the sister of actress Haliza Misbun.
Magistrate Husna Dzulkifly set bail at RM2,000 with one surety.
She also imposed an additional condition for bail, forbidding witness and complaint-tampering by the accused.
The case will be mentioned on Feb 25.
