Pandelela-Jun Hoong qualify for Rio Olympics

Pandelela Rinong-Cheong Jun Hoong produced a mesmerising performance at the World Cup in Rio to book an Olympic spot in the women's 10m platform synchro event today.

The Malaysians made the podium after finishing second with a total score of 318.90 points.

China's Chen Ruolin-Liu Huixia topped the event after posting a 344.04 total while Britain's Sarah Barrow-Tonia Couch won bronze on 308.82.

Pandelela will now compete in two events at the Rio Olympics. The 22-year-old also booked a spot in the 10m platform individual by finishing third in last year's World Aquatics Championships in Kazan.
