Statements recorded from three TMI editors

KUALA LUMPUR: Statements from three editors of The Malaysian Insider (TMI) were taken at Bukit Aman today over the online portal's report on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) Operations Review Panel.

At 3.15pm today, TMI editor and chief executive officer Jahabar Sadiq, managing editor Lionel Morais and assistant news editor V. Anbalagan were seen entering police headquarters accompanied by The Edge Media Group's lawyer Syahredzan Johan.

Police are also expected to take the statements of the news portal's chief sub-editor Tan Wan Peng, deputy chief sub-editor Abdar Rahman Koya and Malay news deputy chief sub-editor Srihanasham Noordin.

The report published yesterday stated that MACC should resubmit its investigation papers on SRC International Sdn Bhd to the attorney-general as there was sufficient proof to hold charges against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
